OFFICE NEWS
RULES OF THE ROAD
car-front-icon.gif
  • USE RIGHT LANE ONLY TO DROP OFF YOUR CHILD IN THE FRONT AREA OF THE SCHOOL.
  •  DROP-OFF ZONE is along the curb.
  • Please have your child EXIT ON THE RIGHT SIDE anywhere along the curb.
  • THE LEFT LANE is for THROUGH TRAFFIC ONLY, no drop-off or pick-up
  • It is dangerous for students who then have to cross moving lanes of traffic.
  • Use the left "through" lane to drive to the rear of the building which has multiple open entrances for morning arrival and afternoon pickup.
  • All classrooms are easily accessible through those entrances and there is more room for multiple vehicles.
  • DO NOT block traffic to drop off your child at the stop sign on HENDRIE AVENUE in front of the school or on Lockwood Drive by the EMS exit.
  •  DO NOT PARK in the BUS LOOP or BLOCK IT at any time during the day.
  • ONLY park in designated parking spots around the circle or in the back of the school.
  • DO NOT double park or leave your vehicle unattended during drop-off and/or pick-up.
  • DO NOT block the crosswalks or parking spaces at any time during the day.

ABSENCE AND EARLY DISMISSAL REMINDER TO PARENTS
Absences:Please call the office at 203-637-1744 by 8:00 am to report your child's absence. Non-medical extended absences of more than three days require an extended absence form from the main office. Teachers are not responsible for preparing student work under this condition; completion required upon return to school with teacher supervision. It remains the student's responsibility to inform teachers of their absences and meet with them upon their return regarding make-up work.

Early Dismissal for Personal Reasons:If you need to pick your child up early, please send a note with them to the main office in the morning. Dismissals or bus passes are by note only, no voice messages please. Please do not leave early dismissal messages on the attendance voicemail. It is understandable that last minute appointments cannot be avoided, however the main office tries as much as possible not to disrupt the classrooms. Emergencies excepted of course.
YOU CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE - DONATE TO THE PTA
We are a non-profit organization.  Please consider donating to
support the many programs, activities and educational opportunities at our school.
Donations are tax deductible. We thank you for your support.
