Our mission is to increase the focus on community service and to be more strategic and aligned in all of the different efforts that already exist at Riverside. With that goal in mind we will be partnering with Student Council on some of our initiatives as well as Riverside Rangers and our 5th Grade Class parents to coordinate efforts.
This year we have chosen a theme of "Kids Helping Kids" and will provide opportunities for Riverside students to help kids locally, nationally and globally in an effort to nurture our children's growth as compassionate and responsible citizens. We are never too young to start giving back in a meaningful way!
Our kick-off event, "Holidays for Haiti" is scheduled for Friday, November 16th after school.
In January, we will be donating a "Month of Meals" to a local organization - Kids in Crisis.
More information will follow about our project in the coming months.
