iPad Help

Tech support for school issued devices is available in the Library Learning Commons during school hours. If you need support at other times please try the following steps:

  • Restart the iPad by holding down the power and home buttons until you see the apple.
  • Turn wifi on and off.
  • Shut down the app by double clicking the home button and swiping up to close it.
  • If the above does not work have your child bring the iPad to the Learning Commons during help desk hours.
  • If you are having trouble with an App please see your child's classroom teacher.

Please report any damage or lost devices to your child's teacher as soon as possible.


Apple ID

A few things to keep in mind...each student needs to have an Apple ID to be able to receive their iPad. If you have a child who was enrolled at NMS prior to the 2016-2017 school year, you created their Apple ID and password based on guidelines established by GPS.

If your child started at NMS as a kindergartener or a transfer student in the fall of 2016 or after, the district set up the Apple ID (with your permission).

Because we do a lot of troubleshooting during the school day we do have a password protocol so we can get into student accounts. Should you receive an email regarding a changed Apple ID password or need help with your child's Apple ID, please call the Learning Commons (203-698-6040) to speak with Linda Swenson.
