General Meeting & Speaker "Teen Anxiety: The Hidden Crisis"
PTA Business Meeting 6:45pm - 7:00pm
GHS Room 900
Our PTA parent speaker series featuring life hacks for a healthier, happier teen continues this month with Teen Anxiety: The Hidden Crisis. We are hosting two expert speakers from the The Southfield Center for Development, Behaviorist, Rebecca Strang and Psychologist, Dr. Lindsay Blass. Together with our own GHS school psychologist, Jeff DeTeso, they will talk candidly about the growing epidemic of anxiety in our 21st century youth. Two articles that prompted our interest, from Greenwich Magazine (4/28/18) - The Anxious Generation and The New York Times (10/11/17) - Why are More American Teenagers Than Ever Suffering from Severe Anxiety?
Join us for this evening program supporting our parent community and students. As always, our Parent Resources page has links to recordings of all our featured speakers and handouts.
This meeting will be video recorded and posted to our Parent Resources web page along with any handouts.
