New Student Registration
Unfortunately, due to COVID restrictions and until such time as our buildings are fully open, all registration materials and processes will be handled remotely.
Forms can be submitted electronically to the email address below, mailed or given to the security guard at the front desk at GHS. All new students will be able to take their placement tests electronically. Students and families will also be able to have remote meetings with their counselor to review course selection.
The Greenwich High School Registrar's Office hopes to make the transition for all new students seamless. Please read the Registrar's letter for important information regarding registration at GHS. Information Packets including the required registration forms are available on the GPS Registration page.
After all documentation is complete and the placement tests are scored, we will set up an appointment for you and your child to meet with a guidance counselor for course selection. For more information please see our frequently asked questions about New Student Registration and New Student Course Selection. New students and their parents may also want to review Back to School Information.

Health Forms and Immunizations are required for all new students registering to attend the Greenwich Public Schools and again as they enter grades 3, 6 and 10. Please be sure to look at the Health and Athletic sections for the necessary forms. We cannot start the enrollment process until our health department has cleared your child's immunization record.
Upon Verification of Residency at the school, and proper completion of all other requirements, we will schedule an English & Math placement tests along with World Language placement tests, if applicable. If you have a child whose first language is other than English, he/she will be evaluated by the ESL (English as a Second Language) staff.
The Town of Greenwich Immigration Resource Guide (Guía de Recurso Para Inmigrantes) is intended to provide new members of our community and our country with help in navigating their new surroundings and in finding services, such as childcare, healthcare, employment, housing and legal services. These services will enable immigrants to lead healthy, safe, and productive lives in Connecticut or surrounding states.
