Computer Science

Program Overview:

Through the Mathematics Department, Greenwich High School offers a computer science pathway from introductory through Advanced Placement courses.

Introductory courses are taught in javaScript, HTML and CSS.  Having passed an introductory course, students may follow a web-development or language intensive path.

The language intensive path initially continues the study of javaScript with the College Board's AP Computer Science Principles curriculum and then java in AP Computer Science A.

The web-development path continues the study of javaScript, HTML and CSS, incorporating other tools and APIs as required to develop complete web based applications.

A full description of the Computer Science course offerings can be found in the GHS Course Of Study Guide.  The course pathway is described in the current Computer Science Course Sequence document.
