Working Papers / Student Employment / Volunteer Opportunities
We're pleased to inform our community that the Student Employment Service website that has served GHS courtesy of the Greenwich Public Schools PTA is transitioning to a new platform. Please visit the PTA Student Employment Page beginning on Friday March 26th, 2021.
Students between the ages of 14 and 18 years are eligible for working papers. The paperwork is available from the receptionist in the Main Office at GHS.
- In order to receive working papers for jobs in CT, students must present a birth certificate, current passport or driver’s license and the employer’s signature confirming a promise of employment.
- The Main Office of GHS is open from 8:00am to 4:30pm each week day during the school year, and from 8:00-3:00 Monday-Friday during the summer. During Covid restrictions, students may email email@example.com or firstname.lastname@example.org to facilitate the process of obtaining working papers.
- For jobs in NY State, students must go to Port Chester H.S. to obtain working papers.
We encourage you to volunteer your time to support your favorite non-profit! Besides the chance to learn new skills and strengthen our community, your junior year Civics course requires 5 hours of community service, and the GHS chapter of the National Honor Society requires 20 hours of community service per year.
