How to create an Aspen account and Register Online

To learn how to use the GPS Online Registration, either watch this video or read instructions below.

To register online:

1. You first need to create a parent account in Aspen, the GPS student information system. Please save the userID and password because you will use this account frequently while you are a GPS family.

2. After the account is created, you will log into Aspen where you will enter your information and upload

Student documentation (birth certificate or passport)
Parent identification (typically a drivers license or passport)
Residency verification (lease or mortgage, plus utility bills)
Health documentation can be uploaded if available at the time

3. Your application will be reviewed and you will receive a confirmation when the application has been approved. You will need to bring or send the health documentation to the school separately to complete registration.

4. Note that this is best navigated on a larger screen such as a tablet, iPad, laptop or desktop computer.

5. If you do not know what school to register for, please enter your address into GPS School Finder.

Existing families with an active Aspen Portal Account can access the Online Registration by logging onto their Aspen Portal account using their username and current password. To log onto Aspen: https://ct-greenwich.myfollett.com

Your user id is the primary email address you have on file with the district. It is the same email address where you receive weekly emails from the building principal or superintendent.

If you have forgotten your password, click the “I forgot my password” on the log in page to get a new password. If you need further assistance, you can email Aspen support at: portal_support@greenwich.k12.ct.us

New family needs to create an Aspen account

To create an Aspen account:

1. Go to the GPS Aspen site: https://ct-greenwich.myfollett.com

2. Click Request an Account.

3. A window will appear. Enter parent/guardian first name, last name, email address, and create a password. The email address will be your primary email address with the district. You will receive all communications at this email address. (Note: Optonline.net often blocks receipt of GPS emails. We recommend using another email product with GPS.)

4. You will receive an email requesting account information. Follow the instructions in the email to activate. Please check your SPAM or junk folder if, after a few minutes, you do not see the email in your inbox.

1. Click on "Initiate" under "Start New Student Registration."

2. Complete each of the tabs of questions. Fields with an asterisk (*) are mandatory.

3. After completing all questions, you need to upload images of the following information.

Student documentation (birth certificate or passport)
Parent identification (typically a drivers license or passport)
Residency verification (lease or mortgage, plus utility bills)

4. You may Save and Return to an application if you need more time. When you log back into Aspen, click on the Green Checkmark next to your child's name
