WORLD LANGUAGE:

MS students who have previous experience in a language offered at GHS may take a placement test.

·      If 8th grade students would like to take a GHS placement test in a language they are not currently enrolled in while in middle school to determine the most appropriate language leveled placement (for instance, a native German 8th grader who is interested in studying German), they would have to adhere to the following protocol:

·      The parent will have to make an appt with the designated GHS teacher (see list below) to take a placement test between Feb. 1 and Feb. 28

·      Bring in his/her child to GHS

·      Then, the designated GHS teacher will make the placement contacting the appropriate MS guidance counselor.

Here are the designated GHS WL contacts per language offered at GHS:

o   ASL: Dana Romanello Flynn

o   French & Latin: Lisa Fancher

o   German: Margret Callahan

o   Italian: Stefania Benzoni

o   Mandarin: Lin Young

o   Spanish: Silvana Cipollone

If the student is not available on the above date, please contact the appropriate teacher listed below before the March 31st deadline.

French: Elizabeth_Fancher@greenwich.k12.ct.us

Spanish: Silvana_Cipollone@greenwich.k12.ct.us

German: Margret_Callahan@greenwich.k12.ct.us

Chinese: Lin_Young@greenwich.k12.ct.us

Italian: Stefania_Benzoni@greenwich.k12.ct.us

Middle School Counselors will be notified of the results.

We are looking for doodles representing sports, music, school, learning, fun, etc. We are also looking for doodles that could be used as accents around the pages and frames for photos.

Requirements: Your doodle must be in black pen or sharpie and completed on a white unlined piece of paper. Please submit all doodles to Ms. Badillo in Room 112. Put your name on the paper to receive credit in the yearbook!

FROM THE CAFETERIA:

We strongly urge students to pre-order lunch the night before or during the first period by 8:30 a.m.  By doing this the cafeteria staff can properly prepare the amount of lunch bags needed. The link is posted on our EMS website for both parents and students to access.  Students please be sure to coordinate with your parents as to who will be completing the form to avoid duplicate orders.
