Each elementary student is issued an iPad in grades K-5. Starting in grade 3 students are allowed to take their device home. Before students are allowed to take them home they take a digital citizenship class in the learning commons.
Every classroom has two computers. One dedicated teacher computer and one student computer.
While the school district has implemented sophisticated security and content control systems on all student devices, it is possible to augment these using Apple’s built-in Screen Time features:
At Greenwich High School incoming 9th grade students are given a new district issued Chromebook which can be taken home. High school students have increased levels of access to network resources as compared to middle school and elementary school students.
