Currently, Federal and State guidelines provide for SY2022-2023 school lunch meals at no charge. As this authorization could change at some point during the year, applications are still required to be completed and kept on file each year. These were sent home with your School's electronic August Packets, are available here as well and can be completed & returned to your schools' front office at any time during the year.

THINGS TO CONSIDER BEFORE APPLYING

Applications for free and reduced price meals approved during the prior school year have a grace period of 30 school days before expiring. Although we encourage you to apply early, we can assure you that students who qualified last June will be extended the same benefit until we receive an application or October 18, 2022, whichever comes first.

You only need to complete one copy for the whole family. Simply print the application and complete it.

Parents enrolling new kindergarten students into the district do not need to complete an application until the start of the school year. If your child is enrolled now but not starting until the fall, please wait to complete an application, they will be available online prior to the start of school and also sent home on the first day of school.

Households receiving Special Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) benefits or Temporary Family Assistance (TFA) for their children will no longer receive a direct certification letter from the Department of Social Services (DSS). Therefore, direct certification will be determined at the school level based on information sent from DSS to the school. Questions regarding SNAP/TFA and direct certification should be sent to (Dave Nanarello, Food Service Director or Erika Peters, FS Administrative Assistant)

No application is necessary if you are notified by our district food service office that all children have been directly certified. Letters will be sent the third week of August.

Please return your Application to your School's Front Office
