NHS Spring 2013 Packet

Instructions:

1. The packet is in Word (2007). All school computers have this software loaded. If you would like to work on the packet from home and have the 2003 version of Word, download the file, open it and then save the document in Word 2003 format to a removable device and then you can continue to work on the document from home.  If you need more instructions, make an appointment to see Ms. Fox. Check her schedule on her office door in the Media Center and then e-mail for an appointment.

 2. It is preferred that you type as much as possible on the document rather than writing in long hand.

3. All signatures must be original. Do not use electronic signatures.

4. All character, and service forms that must be filled out by someone other than yourself are on the site as separate documents. Please inform each person that he/she can download the file and then open it and fill it out, then print and sign it

5. After clicking one of the documents below, choose save as.  This will downoad the file to your computer. Then open it. Do not try to just open it. After opening the file, check the top of the screen to see if there is a message concerning macros. If there is a message, just check options and then choose enable. This will allow you to begin filling in the blanks. Some areas of the forms are not macro enabled so that you can't type in that space. In this case, you must then print the form and fill it in by hand. Make sure that you then save the file on a removable device or your computer. Please make sure that you type your name and house on each page before printing.

A Workshop will be held on April 2 at 2:30pm in Meeting Rooms 1 & 2 in the GHS Media Center to explain how to fill out the NHS packet and to answer questions.

 Remember that you are responsible for filling out the packet. Your parents may not do the work for you.

Directions:
After opening the file:
1. Click on options on the security bar directly above the document.
2. Then click on enable,
3. Click ok and then fillout the form
4. Print the form, sign it and you are done
5. Either send it to Ms. Fox - Clark House
6. Or, return the form to the student
