Advanced Learning Program

Student Identification Process

For 2013-2014 School Year

March 2013 Information Meetings

The District process for identifying students for placement in the 2013-2014 Advanced Learning Program (ALP) has begun. For grades 2-5, this multi-step process consists of screenings in math and language arts. The process for screening students currently in grades 6 and 7 will determine their eligibility for further evaluation for inclusion in 2013-2014 ALP Language Arts and/or Seminar

Parents of students who have been recommended for the evaluation phase will be notified by March 15, 2013. Parents must sign and return a consent form allowing their student to continue in the evaluation process by March 27, 2013.

Parent Nominations

Students may also be nominated for additional testing by their parents. The Parent Nomination Form will be available at your school office and on the ALP website after March 15, 2013 and must be returned to your school office by March 27, 2013.

Self-Nominations

Middle School students (students currently in grades 6 and 7) may self-nominate for screening for the program. The Student Nomination Form will be available at your school office and on the ALP website after March 15, 2013 and must be returned to your school office by March 27, 2013.
