Research Process Model - Grades 6-12 Research7 (Adapted from the Big6 Model) RESEARCH PROCESS MODEL (Based on Big6 – Adapted for Greenwich Public Schools as Research7):
The conclusion from our review of the literature on Information Fluency and the Research Process concurred that a consistent information process model provides a good foundation for students to approach an information need, conduct research or pursue a topic of personal interest. The idea of using the same process should begin early and be emphasized in all subject areas. STEP 1: QUESTION - DEFINE AN INFORMATION NEED Define the information need based on a topic or interest and plan a course of action.
