The fifth grade Community Service Council visited Adopt-A-Dog, an animal shelter in Armonk, NY. Glenville's donations from "Be Kind to Animals Day" were much needed and appreciated!

Glenville students read a LOT of books from May 6th-17th.  As a result the teachers worked a full day for Habitat for Humanity.  Congratulations students for your hard work and thank you to all the teachers who participated.

Did you know?

Did you know in 2015 our students in grades 3-8 will no longer be taking the Connecticut Mastery Test? Under the Common Core State Standards, our students will being taking a new computer adaptive test (similar to our NWEA), called Smarter Balance. For sample problems of the tasks our students will be asked to do, please click here

It is important to know that under the Common Core State Standards, what our students are being asked to do is much more challenging and sophisticated than our current assessments.
