Parents/Judges Please Read
Parents: Every year debate club has gotten bigger. As we get bigger we need more parents to volunteer to judge debates. We are only allowed to bring more students if we have more judges. Things you should know about judging...
You will get trained that morning while the students prepare to debate.
It is okay if you have never judged a debate before, you will be trained.
You need to be at the debate for the first three rounds which means you need to arrive with your child at 8:20AM and you may leave at about 3:30PM though you are welcome to stay until 5:15PM when the students finish.
All forms will be given to you to judge debates, at the debates just bring yourself.
IF WE DON'T HAVE PARENTS VOLUNTEER TO JUDGE WE CAN'T DEBATE...PLEASE VOLUNTEER!!!
Judges: Many parents have asked that we supply you with more information and the judging forms before the debate. Below you can click on the forms, if you have time. You do NOT have to browse these documents, I am putting them online at the request of some parents. The links below take you to documents from the Connecticut Debate Association (the league we debate in). The following disclaimer applies to all of these documents...
