The Media Center serves as a literature and information hub. It provides students and teachers with a wide array of print and technology resources to support reading, research, teaching and learning.

All K-5 students participate in a scheduled sequential program of instructional activities designed to enable them to master the skills and content in the Media and Technology curriculum.
The primary grades (K-2) places an emphasis on supporting students emerging literacy development through read alouds and related activities. Students also begin to develop information literacy skills.

Information literacy skills are the main focus in grades 3-5. By the end of 5th grade, students are expected to independently define their information needs and select and access a variety of print and electronic resources. Students will have produced at least one resource-based curriculum project based on State Standards and taught by the classroom teacher and the media specialist.
