Asbestos Information
The State of Connecticut enacted legislation requiring all public buildings to be re-evaluated to determine if asbestos is present and if it poses a significant health hazard to the building's occupants. Greenwich Public School buildings have on file plans showing the location of asbestos in each building and measures undertaken to comply with regulations to maintain a safe school environment. Requests to review these plans may be made in the school office. Asbestos Management Plans are updated every three years and more frequently as required, often as a result of capital projects.
