Riverside Rangers -  This leadership opportunity is a direct outgrowth of our ROPES social emotional learning program. Students in grade 5 are trained to be leaders in the fall of their 5th grade year. Students serve as activity leaders for special events (e.g., school tours, book fairs, assemblies). Weather permitting, these students will organize cooperative games for younger students on the playground and during indoor recess. Additionally, Rangers serve as greeters every morning, welcoming students as they enter the school. We are constantly looking for ways to encourage school-community leadership among our students and develop the norm Caring for Self and Others through peer interactions.

Tour Guides - Those wishing to visit and tour the school are guided through our halls by grade 5 students. Adhering to the theory that you only have one chance to make a first impression, our visitors are always highly complimentary of the students' efforts and the enthusiasm they show for their school.
