WELCOME TO THE 2012-2013 SCHOOL YEAR!
Welcome to the 2012-2013 school year at Hamilton Avenue School. We especially want to recognize our new families, as well as new incoming staff, to our new state-of-the-art Hamilton Avenue School, opened in 2009.
The Hamilton Avenue Parent Teachers Association (PTA) works diligently throughout the school year (and the summer!) to help the school and faculty to create and maintain a safe, supportive, enriching environment where our children can successfully learn and achieve. All parents are invited to be a part of this mission, and this PTA website is one place where you can obtain information on how to become involved, what the upcoming events are, and what kinds of help and support the PTA needs to fulfill our mission.
By being part of the PTA, you are becoming more involved in your child's education and life. Volunteering is an excellent way to make a difference in your child's life. Without your help and support, the children of Hamilton Avenue School will miss out on many important and enriching activities and programs, which will benefit them in their quest for a good education.
The Hamilton Avenue School PTA is part of the State of Connecticut PTA and National PTAs. We work with the Greenwich Board of Education and the Greenwich PTA Council (PTAC). Our collective goals are to ensure that our children obtain the best possible elementary school education.
Please join us for our monthly meetings, and familiarize yourselves with all that our PTA can offer and how "YOU" can make a difference by volunteering one hour a month. The Hamilton Avenue PTA Bylaws are also available for your information from the PTA President. These guide the business and protocols of our PTA and follow the protocols of the Connecticut PTA.
We look forward to meeting all of our parents and to getting to know each family. We hope to see you all at our monthly meetings and upcoming events!
Fondly,
Peter Bernstein, PTA President,
Allison Radzin, President Elect
