HOMEWORK COMMITTEE 2012-2013
HOMEWORK COMMITTEE CHARGE (Download full charge document)
As per the 'management issue' identified in the 2011-2012 Monitoring Report on Policy E-040: Effective Learning Environment, the District has established a Homework Committee in order to determine the status of homework in the Greenwich Public Schools in relation to:
- Current GPS Policy and Procedure, and
- Current research on student achievement
Anticipated outcomes for the Committee's work, include:
- a possible recommendation to the Superintendent of Schools to update the Homework Policy or Procedure*.
The Superintendent is the decision maker regarding any recommendations made by the committee. If the Superintendent believes that a Policy change is in order based on committee recommendations, then the Board of Education would be the decision maker.
