Greenwich Reads Together!

Our book breakfast was a wonderful experience!  
Our EMS Jazz Band started the morning off right with a spectacular performance.  Special guests included authors Sarah Darer Littman and Dr. Jewell Parker Rhodes, as well as Dr. and Mrs Ernie Fleischman, and Mrs. Fran Kompar.   Our book drive for the Greenwich Alliance for Education was a success as well!  Our three raffle winners received personalized autographed copies of Ninth Ward from Jewell Parker Rhodes and the media center.

Author Visit!
 
Jewell Parker Rhodes spent the day with us, and many classes got to come listen to her, ask about her writing and reading experiences, and find out about her life as a writer.  She was an incredibly lively and delightful presenter, and we're hoping to have her return next year!

Introductory music provided by our own outstanding EMS Jazz Band
Discussion:  Building bridges of understanding within our own communities and to other communities; understanding our rights and responsibilities as citizens and members of a community

 Students and staff may sign up to come in the media center or with any Language Arts teacher.
