SENIOR INTERNSHIP: STUDENT REMINDER

*- Initial online applications are due the Friday after we return from break, January 4th. You can access the application by visiting www.ghs-sip.org and registering. Note- if you have an existing Student Employment account, your username and password will work for the Senior Internship as well.

*- Please be sure to print the Approval Form from the website, get all signatures (parent, counselor and House Administrator) and return it to the Career Center by January 4th.

*- Mandatory internship meetings will take place during exam week and sign ups for those interviews will be available on the website after January 4th.

*- Once meetings are complete and your eligibility to parcitipate in the program confirmed, students will be able to view this year's internship positions and indicate the ones they would like to be considered for.

INTERNSHIP TIMELINE

January 4th	Student Applications due for Senior Internship Program
Mid-January	Students sign up for meeting time at www.ghs-sip.org
Exam Week January	Students meet with Senior Internship Committee
February 15th	Self-Designed Internship Deadline. All self-designed internships must be registered Last day for companies to post internship positions
February 18th	Students can start to review the 2013 internship positions and indicate the ones they would like to be considered for
Mid- March	Student Interviews with Employers (Students will contact Employers who have indicated that they wish to interview potential candidates to arrange meeting time)
April 30- May 2	Students and Employers notified of final Internship placement decisions Mentors begin contacting Internship Sites to introduce themselves and arrange Student/Mentor/Site Supervisor meeting
May 20th	First Day of Internships
June 19th	Last Day of Internships
