Register at your child(ren)'s school(s). Call the school for best times or appointment.
Registration hours for parents/guardians are conducted during the school's normal operating hours.
Prior to registering a child in a Greenwich Public School, parents/guardians are required to provide proof of residency in the Town of Greenwich.
To register students new to the Greenwich Public Schools, parents must provide a birth certificate and proof of residence. Before beginning school, the nurse must review your child's record of immunizations, as well as a complete physical examination form dated within a year of entry and documented on the school health assessment (Please refer to The State of Connecticut Immunization Requirements for the 2016-2017 school year and to the State of Connecticut Health Assessment Record). To enroll in kindergarten, a child must have reached the age of 5 on or before January 1 of his/her kindergarten year.
Although age 5 is the compulsory age for students to enter kindergarten, parents may choose to have their child wait until age 6, but they must sign a form at the Board of Education. They may decide again, when their child is 6, to have the child home for another year. By age 7, the child must attend school or be schooled at home.
